Success Requires Knowledge and Skills: Let’s Face it

Knowledge is power as such to be successful one requires knowledge and great skills.

One of the major reasons people fail to achieve success early in life is simply due to the fact that a lot of folks never really get to work on understanding who they really are, what their strengths and weaknesses are, likes and dislikes, passion, interests and hobbies. MONEY doesn’t simply come from securing a JOB, salary earnings or even securing an office space or a shop. It goes way beyond that. Making money requires POWER! and if you lack this, you’ll remain poor till you discover it (the power) or die trying. 

POWER is not rock-solid pounds of muscles, it has nothing to do with height and broad chest, it has nothing to do with having a fierce looking face, being physically fit or naturally strong like Samson. Power comes through the acquisition of knowledge; therefore, permit me to reaffirm that KNOWLEDGE IS POWER! Having said that, your path to success will shine brighter the day you realize who you truly are; and your will be more certain and well directed to a properly destination.

 

Because the journey to success starts with the journey to self actualization, the journey to self actualization starts with sacrificial giving (of the most precious part of your whole being- YOU!). To gain access to/ or evolve into your ‘higher-self’, you must have to give up the smaller you (which at the moment means everything to you).

Nothing in life happens by accident. Life has a pattern, its design is highly intricate and precise. If you must be rich, there are certain parts of you that must have to die first. Eg. Laziness, too much watching of television, lack of time for reading/ self-development, poor spiritual life, bad manners, insincerity, pride, etc. In life, never you put the cart before the horse. Always learn to delay gratification.

Success is a function of the mind, and the express will of the man. For you to be successful, you must have to make a conscious decision to succeed every inch of the way. If the recent news about top blue chip global IT companies like google etc; is anything to go by, then imagine what will happen in a decade from now.

What does this trend tell you?

Time for certificates are gradually wearing off. Education is good no doubt (and please don’t get me wrong on this one); but the truth is: Is the type of education we have here worth the struggle? Is it result-oriented? After going through the four walls of the university, do you sometimes feel a major sense emptiness which usually drives you to go get a skill?  So painful you might say but then that’s the harsh reality around here and several other countries in the world.

So how can you avoid getting into this trap in the first place or getting out of it in case you’re neck deep into it already?

1. If you’re still in school, make provision to go learn a skill you love dearly.

2. If you’re out of the university and in desperate search for a job, go and learn a skill and build a business for yourself.

3. If you’re out of the university and already working, then devise a means to start making more money by setting up a system to help you earn lots of passive income.

Note: Google is not stupid to make that decision to start employing some super-talented non-graduates. Watch as other top global brands follow suit.There currently are more 15 global brands at the moment that have also adopted this move.
